While the large Portes du Soleil ski area offers a huge range of varied terrain to experienced skiers, the slopes in the Morzine-Les Gets sector are ideal for families and intermediate skiers. For those who are looking for the steepest black runs in the Alps, head straight to the Chamossière black run or the famous “Swiss wall”. This French-Swiss area is a great place to learn how to ski but is also the perfect playground for ski enthusiasts. The Portes du Soleil ski area abolishes the borders between valleys and countries, connecting twelve French and Swiss resorts located between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva: Morzine, Avoriaz, Châtel, Les Gets, Montriond, La Chapelle-d'Abondance, Abondance and Saint- Jean-d'Aulps in France and Champéry, Val-d'Illiez-Les Crosets-Champoussin, Torgon and Morgins in Switzerland.
